NEW BUSINESS
(2) WESTMONT HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE: Board to consider a motion approving the Westmont High School Homecoming Parade on October 2, 2008 between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Cass Avenue, between Burlington Avenue and Traube Street.
(3) PUMPKIN HARVEST FESTIVAL: Board to consider approval of the following ordinances related to the Pumpkin Harvest Festival on October 24, 25 and 26, 2008:
A. An ordinance approving certain street and public parking lot closures, as follows:
1. Closing Quincy Street between Lincoln to Grant starting on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 until Monday, October 27, 2008 at 3:00 a.m.
2. Close commuter parking lot from Lincoln to Grant starting on Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until Monday, October 27, 2008 at 3:00 a.m.
3. Close parking lot at the northeast corner of Cass Avenue and Burlington on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.
4. Use of public parking spaces on Burlington Avenue from Cass Avenue west to Grant on Sunday, October 26, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
5. Use of public parking spaces near the Westmont Water Department Building to park carnival equipment beginning Wednesday, October 22, 2008 until Sunday, October 26, 2008.
B. An ordinance waiving the following license and permit fees:
1. Amusement license fee.
2. Liquor license fee.
3. Sign permit fees for electronic sign and banner signs.
C. An ordinance approving the following permits and granting the following approvals:
1. Permit to play amplified live music.
2. Permit to post banners at Burlington and Cass Avenue and at the Metra Train Station from October 13, 2008 through October 26, 2008.
3. Approval to conduct a sidewalk parade along the east side of Cass Avenue from 117 North Cass Avenue to the parking lot at Burlington and Cass Avenue on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
4. Approval to use Westmont Centre common areas from October 24, 2008 through October 26, 2008.
5. Approval to access to a public water hook-up for tent and carnival use.
6. Approval to use public trash receptacles and a public dumpster for midway and test refuse.
7. Approval to use a public 110 electrical volt outlet during the event for an ice maker for the carnival.
8. Approval to access sanitary toilet facilities from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008 through Sunday, October 26, 2008.
D. An ordinance approving a hotel/motel-tourism grant in the amount of $5,000.00, with payment due upon presentation of paid receipts for operational costs of this event.
(4) WESTMONT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND TOURISM BUREAU (WCCTB): Board to consider a motion granting conceptual approval to WCCTB to place an informational kiosk in the train depot building, and directing staff to draft a license agreement and draft a policy regarding the placement of materials in the kiosk.
(5) BELLERIVE TERRACE, 307 TO 325 WEST 63RD STREET: Board to consider an ordinance waiving the full masonry construction requirement in favor or certain other design features, including brick veneer, stucco and fire safety measures.
(6) SURPLUS PROPERTY: Board to consider an ordinance authorizing the declaration of Police Department equipment as surplus village property.
(7) AMBULANCE FEE INCREASE: Board to consider an ordinance increasing the resident and non-resident ambulance fees.
(8) FIFTH THIRD BANK MASTER LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT: Board to consider an ordinance approving a Master Purchase-Lease Agreement and related documents with Fifth Third Bank for the financing of vehicles and equipment.
(9) SALE TAX INCREASE: Board to consider an ordinance authorizing a ½% General Merchandise Sale Tax Increase, to be effective January 1, 2009.
(10) INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT: Board to consider an ordinance approving an intergovernmental agreement between the Villages of Westmont and Clarendon Hills for Richmond Avenue maintenance improvements.
