(1) MINUTES of the Committee of the Whole Meeting, as corrected, held April 17, 2008 and the Board Meeting held April 21, 2008.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

(2) DOLCE’ CAFÉ:  Board to consider an ordinance approving a request from Dolce’ Café at 15 West Quincy Street for use of the brick paver portion of the public sidewalk adjacent to Quincy Street for the purpose of an outdoor café, subject to restrictions as detailed in the ordinance.

NEW BUSINESS

(3) PIERS SPECIAL SERVICE AREA:    Board to consider follow-up discussion to the public hearing on The Piers Special Service Area.

(4) SOUND AMPLIFYING DEVICE LICENSE: Board to consider a motion granting a request from Thomas Fitzer, to host live entertainment at 132 North Park Street, on Saturday, May 24, 2008, to provide music for a Memorial Day Party.

(5) SOUND AMPLIFYING DEVICE LICENSE: Board to consider a motion granting a request from John Veriga from Eclecticville, to host live entertainment, “a jam night”, every Thursday night (weather permitting) in front of his store at 141 South Cass Avenue.

(6) SOUTH SCHOOL PRIVATE PARTY: Board to consider a motion granting a request from Mary Aldridge and Christa Gifford of South School to block off Dallas Street from Grant Street to the alley and Grant Street between Dallas Street and the end of South School property on Sunday, June 1, 2008, from noon to 6:30 p.m., to host a party.
(7) 15 WEST QUINCY, DOLCE’S: Board to consider a motion allowing Dolce’s request to distribute promotional materials at the train station twice per month.

(8) 231 SOUTH LINCOLN: Board to consider an ordinance approving a Zoning Code Variance to permit lot coverage greater than the 40% maximum allowed in the R-3 Single Family Detached Residence District.  

(9) 4 WEST BURLINGTON AVENUE, VILLAGE SMOKE SHOP: Board to consider approval of ordinances for the following requests from the Village Smoke Shop, 4 West Burlington Avenue:

A. Approval of a development permit for proposed redevelopment/expansion within the Central Business District for a smoking lounge.
B. Approval of a Zoning Code variance to reduce the number of required off-street parking spaces from six (6) to zero (0).

(10) 307-325 WEST 63RD STREET, BELLERIVE TERRACE: Board to consider an ordinance approving a Standard Specifications waiver pertaining to sidewalk width.

(11) 2ND ANNUAL BEANIE BABY 5K RUN/WALK: Board to consider a motion approving the following requests from Oak Brook Racquet & Fitness Club, together with Ty, Inc. and the McCrone Group:
a) Suspend parking around Ty Warner Park on Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 7:00am – 11:00am.
b) Close Plaza from Blackhawk west to Cass from 7:00am – 9:30am.
c) Close Cass Avenue, northbound only (both lanes) to 35th Street from 7:55am – 8:30am.
d) Close 35th Street (both lanes) from Midwest Road to Oakwood Drive 8:05am – 8:50am. (see Oak Brook approval letter).
e) Close Oakwood Drive from 35th Street to Blackhawk from 8:10am – 9:00am.
f) Close Blackhawk Drive to N.E. corner of Ty Park from 8:10am – 9:15am.
g) Close Chestnut Avenue from Blackhawk to Burr Oak from 8:10am – 9:20am.
h) Close Burr Oak from Chestnut to Plaza from 8:10am – 9:20am.
i) Close Blackhawk Drive from Plaza to Chestnut from 7:00am – 10:30am.

(12) VILLAGE PROPERTY AS SURPLUS:  Board to consider an ordinance authorizing the declaration of ten (10) Public Works trucks as surplus Village property.

(13) PROCLAMATION: Board to consider approval of a proclamation honoring Westmont’s Village Clerk and declaring the week of May 4 through May 10, 2008 as “Village Clerks Week.”
(14) PROCLAMATION: Board to consider approval of a proclamation declaring May 15, 2008 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week of May 11 to 17, 2008 as Police Week in the Village of Westmont
(15) FY 2008-09 VILLAGE BUDGET: Board to consider a resolution adopting the FY 2008-09 Budget.
